Voltage supply via receiver
The DPSI Micro RCS is supplied with voltage via the receiver. After the receiver has been switched on, the programmed battery type* is indicated by the flashing code on the red status LED of the DPSI Micro RCS (Tab. 2 back side). After a break of 2.5 seconds, status or errors will be displayed.
Switching on and off of the consumer
The DPSI Micro RCS can switch a consumer on and off via a random receiver channel. For this purpose, for example, a 2-stage switch can be used, on which two different switching points are programmed (e. g. +100%/- 100%).
Therefor a further programming of the DPSI Micro RCS is not necessary. For using and programming the DPSI Micro RCS e. g. as an ignition switch find information inside the Operating instructions on page 17.
Battery programming
In the battery programming mode, you can program the desired type of consumer battery and, if necessary, deep discharge protection. Therefor the initial position of the programming switch must be set to SET before the DPSI Micro RCS is supplied with voltage via the receiver.
After the transmitter has been switched on and the DPSI Micro RCS has been supplied with voltage via the receiver, the red status LED lights up for 3 seconds and then goes off for 6 seconds. The battery programming mode has been started.
In battery programming mode blinking codes* for the specific battery type will be indicated by the red status LED followed by 3 seconds break (Tab. 2). As soon as the desired battery type is indicated the programming switch must be moved to the OFF position within 3 seconds in advance of the next battery type blink code.
If the deep discharging switch-off is to be activated, the programming switch must now be pushed to the SET position within 5 seconds and then back to the OFF position immediately afterwards. The red status LED then lights up for 5 seconds.
The DPSI Micro RCS restarts after 5 seconds, the programmed values have been saved.
Blinking code | Battery type | Nominal voltage |
---|---|---|
1x Blink | Deactivate test | ... |
2x Blink* | 2 LiPo cells* | 7.4V |
3x Blink** | 3 LiPo cells** | 11.1V |
5x Blink | 5 NiCd/NiMH cells | 6.0V |
6x Blink | 6 NiCd/NiMH cells | 7.2V |
7x Blink** | 7 NiCd/NiMH cells** | 8.4V |
8x Blink** | 8 NiCd/NiMH cells** | 8.4V |
9x Blink** | 9 NiCd/NiMH cells** | 10.8V |
10x Blink** | 10 NiCd/NiMH cells** | 12.0V |
Status indication
The red status LED can indicate different status codes. After the voltage has been supplied to the DPSI Micro RCS, the programmed battery type (Tab. 2) is displayed first. About 2.5 seconds after, status codes (Tab. 3) will be displayed depending on the status of the consumer.
Blinking code | Meaning |
---|---|
Shortly flashing | Consumer is switched off |
Permanently shining | Consumer is switched on |
Error indication
Die rote Status LED kann verschiedene Fehlercodes anzeigen.
The status displays described above are sometimes replaced by error codes (Tab. 4).
The error codes have priority and are displayed until the DPSI Micro RCS is disconnected from the receiver current supply. In case of an error, the status codes for the consumer switched on or off are no longer displayed.
Blinking code | Time | Meaning |
---|---|---|
5Hz Blinking | In case of failsafe | Failsafe status*** |
3x shortly flashing, 1 second shining | In case of low voltage thresold | Low voltage indication*** |
1Hz Blinking | Consumer was switched off due to empty battery | Deep discharging protection activated*** |
